Alan Blondin was the golf writer at The Sun News in Myrtle Beach from January 2000 until June 2022, which completed 29 years at the newspaper. That stint included the publishing of Myrtle Beach Golf Magazine from 2000-2007.
He was previously a golf writer at newspapers in Massachusetts and Texas from 1990-93, and was the Northeastern University journalism school valedictorian. He has earned eight top-10 Associated Press Sports Editors national writing awards and more than 20 top-three S.C. Press Association writing awards since 2007.
He now oversees the revitalized On The Green Magazine's digital product as editor in chief and senior writer, and would like to hear from you.
