Moorland Course Named Myrtle Beach Golf Course of the Year

The Myrtle Beach Area Golf Course Association recently named Moorland Golf Course at Legends Golf and Resort the “Myrtle Beach Golf Course of Year.” This award is given annually to an area golf course that demonstrates excellent course quality, exceptional ownership and management, as well as significant contributions the game and community.

Moorland is considered one of the greatest challenges on the East Coast.  A par 72, Moorland was designed by noted golf architect P. B. Dye and opened for play in 1990. Large areas of natural growth, sand, water and waste areas combine with bulkheads will challenge any level of golfer.

The Legends Golf and Resort is home to five golf courses, including Moorland, Heathland, Parkland, Oyster Bay and Heritage Club.
